About P.A.D.: What is P.A.D.: Find a Screening Site

Find a Screening Site:

Several Coalition partners conduct screenings for P.A.D. during September, P.A.D. Awareness Month, and throughout the year.  Many of these screenings are free, but space is limited. For a screening, most sites perform the ankle-brachial index (ABI), a simple test that compares the blood pressure in your ankles with the blood pressure in your arms.

Check below for screening sites near you:

Legs for Life Screening Program, coordinated by the Society of Interventional Radiology, launches its annual screening program each fall.  You can also locate year-round screening sites on SIR’s Web site; click on “vascular screening” to find a center near you.

Society for Vascular Surgery National Screening Program

Spirit of Women’s Hospital Network.  Many hospitals in the Spirit of Women’s network offer vascular screenings.  Click here to find a hospital near you.

If you are unable to find a screening site near you, print out Lifesaving Tips about P.A.D. (PDF) and bring this information to your personal physician.  He or she can help you assess your risk for P.A.D.
