June 2010: Action Alert: Contact Your Representative in Congress!
Urge Him/Her to Cosponsor the PAD Resolution (H.Res 1438)
Representative Erik Paulsen (R-MN) has introduced the PAD Resolution (H.Res 1438) in Congress. The PAD Resolution is asking all supporters to contact their Representative and urge support for this important resolution.
The PAD Resolution is a "Call to Action" that encourages government agencies, health care organizations, prefessional societies, health systems, and clinicians to take actions to improve the diagnosis and treatment of PAD.
To be enacted, a majority of Representatives must cosponsor the PAD Resolution. By cosponsoring the PAD Resolution, a Representative endorses the resolution and what it's trying to achieve. We need your Representative's support!
You can take action by contacting your Representative's staff member that deals with health care issues. Here's how:

Representative's name, click here and enter your zip code.
Send an email to the Representative's health staffer. This person will serve as your
primary point of contact. Click here for a sample email.
Follow-up with the health staffer by phone and email until you get a response. The
average staffer receives hundreds of calls and emails each week, so follow-up is key.
