  • Encourage your members to “tell the story” of P.A.D prevalence, risk, and treatment at the local level.  Make sure your members know about the NHLBI’s Stay in Circulation Community Action Toolkit, new patient stories video and other campaign materials online at www.aboutPAD.org
  • Ask your members to create local P.A.D. awareness events by using the available campaign materials. Creative ideas are included in the online Community Action Toolkit.
  • Include a Stay in Circulation banner ad on your organization’s Web site.
  • Publish the Stay in Circulation print public service announcement (PSA) in consumer publications and encourage your members to use the PSA in hospital newsletters and other patient resources.
  • Encourage your members to work with local media outlets to increase P.A.D. awareness.  Tips for working with the media are included in the online Community Action Toolkit.

Inform Your Members about the Campaign and the P.A.D. Coalition
