    About P.A.D.

    More than 12 million Americans have peripheral arterial disease (P.A.D.), a disease that affects the arteries outside the heart. P.A.D. can decrease blood flow to the legs and feet that can result in muscle fatigue and pain when walking and lead to amputation, disability and diminished quality of life. People with P.A.D. have a two- to six-fold increased risk of death from heart attack and stroke. Learn more about P.A.D.
